Our digital partners

At Richmond Talking Therapies, we are pleased to work with several digital partners to support us in providing you with a choice about the way in which you have your therapy.

Mindler Digital Health

Mindler (previously ieso) have been treating NHS patients for over a decade, with 145,000+ adults aged 17 and over engaging with online therapy. Mindler’s fully qualified therapists have been helping people with their mental health through confidential, one-to-one conversations.

How does it work?
Online cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is the same as face-to-face therapy, only instead of talking to your clinician in the same room you will have one-to-one, confidential sessions that take place through Mindler’s secure therapy site, chatting in real-time with a qualified clinician that has been assigned to suit your needs. CBT is delivered via one-to-one 45-60-minute typed or video conversations. Online therapy allows you to access appointments from anywhere you feel most comfortable. All you need to do is find a private space and somewhere you can connect to the internet. You will need to ensure you can access the camera and speaker on your mobile phone, laptop or tablet.

The benefits of online therapy
The online approach is making talking therapy more accessible. You won’t need to miss work or travel anywhere, choosing a convenient time to type or video call with your clinician, wherever and whenever you feel most comfortable.

The additional benefits of video therapy include:
● Flexible - Appointments available 7 days a week, 6am - 11pm
● Time-saving - No need to travel to your appointment
● Choice - Choose which online modality you prefer. Type, much like a text conversation, or speak to your clinician via a video call.
● Confidential - Therapy sessions take place via Mindler’s secure therapy site.
● Accessible - All you need is a comfortable private space and mobile device/ good internet connection (4G or Wi-Fi).
● Access to previous sessions - Listen back to audio recordings, or access transcripts from your previous sessions so you can revisit your therapy for reinforced learning
● Support between sessions - Message with your clinician in-between sessions for support with your tasks.
● Guidance beyond therapy - learn practical CBT skills to use day-to-day to help manage your feelings.

SilverCloud

SilverCloud is a form of computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) designed to help manage and improve the symptoms of common mental health difficulties, such as depression and anxiety. This therapy option can be accessed through your smartphone, tablet, or computer, and provides a user-friendly and self-directed experience of CBT. To find out more about CBT, please click here.

While accessing this treatment, you will be assigned to and supported by one of our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners who will set you up on a treatment programme tailored to your needs. The clinician will provide brief weekly online reviews of your progress over a course of six weeks, with the first and last consultation over the telephone. They will be able to view your entries on the programme and will be able to guide you with helpful recommendations along the way.

The therapy programmes available offer a range of informative and interactive ‘space from’ modules comprised of many therapy tools to help you on your journey towards recovery. These include; journaling methods, mood diaries, thought and activity diaries, relapse prevention toolkits, plus a range of evidence-based CBT specific techniques. Each programme includes a useful ‘Welcome to SilverCloud’ module to help you make the most of digital therapy.

The supported treatment will last for six weeks, however access to SilverCloud will remain for up to a year afterwards. This allows people to continue working on building and maintaining the CBT skills they have acquired and continue to gain ‘space from’ the symptoms of common mental health difficulties.

SilverCloud allows for a flexible and personalised experience of self-help therapy. It not only provides a platform to help make sense of what influences mental health, but also gives you the power to choose when and where you access strategies that will move you towards healthy mental wellbeing. This approach fits in well with people who have busy lives or who find it difficult to attend regular face-to-face or telephone therapy sessions. It means that you can work on your difficulties in your own time and at your own pace.

Following your initial assessment with our Talking Therapies, you may be recommended a course of sessions with SilverCloud or you may wish to make use of SilverCloud to support you whilst you are waiting to start a different type of therapy. You can find out more about accessing SilverCloud whilst on a waiting list by clicking here.
