New resources are now available to support local people, healthcare partners, and community leaders and organisations in signposting to key NHS mental health services across south west London. The new 'Know where to turn' mental health signposting toolkit includes a range of printable and digital resources designed to raise awareness of the support available for people experiencing mental health difficulties, including those in crisis.

This year, we’re adding a special touch of warmth and celebration with our We Care Festive Celebration. The Trust Charity is inviting donations to help us deliver a bespoke party-in-a-box to every ward. Each box will include festive decorations, treats and goodies to help bring a sense of celebration and comfort to patients and staff on Christmas Day, while recognising and respecting the many other cultural and religious festivities observed during this season.

Royal visit shines spotlight on art and mental health at Springfield

Earlier this week, Their Royal Highnesses Princess Eugenie and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein of Jordan visited Springfield University Hospital in Tooting to explore the transformative role of art in mental health care.  Led in partnership with arts and mental health charity Hospital Rooms, the visit shone a spotlight on Springfield’s innovative art programme which was completed in 2023.

Our Trust is proud to recognise the achievements of Colin Bailey MCMA, an award-winning Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor, coach, and author. Colin has been shortlisted for the 2025 Complementary Medical Association Community Service Award in recognition of training more than 1,300 people in MHFA skills, including over 110 staff here at our Trust
