Mayor of London opens new 32-acre park in the NHS’s Springfield Village

The Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, today opened the new 32-acre ‘Springfield Park’ in Wandsworth, South West London. As part of the celebrations, the Mayor led a special opening ceremony at Tooting’s Springfield Village, a new community integrated with the park, and co-located with Springfield University Hospital.

Trust psychiatrist Dr David Somerfield appointed to national mental health role

South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust is proud to launch Deaf Mosaic, a captivating photography exhibition that celebrates the diverse achievements of Deaf individuals. Featuring 25 intimate portraits that range from fashion models and athletes to TV chefs, actresses, coffee baristas, and architects, the exhibition boldly proclaims: “With the right support, Deaf people can do anything.”

Trust supports Armed Forces community during Armed Forces Week

Armed Forces Week 2025 takes place from 22nd June - 28th June and our Trust, an NHS Veteran Aware organisation, will proudly be taking taken part in national efforts to honour the UK Armed Forces community throughout the week. Furthermore, today we will join the nation in celebrating Reserves Day, honouring the dedication and service of our Reserve Forces.
