Fundraise for us

From challenging yourself to run a marathon, cycling from London to Brighton or hosting a cake sale – there are lots of way to support us. Sir Captain Tom inspired the nation and became a defining figure in 2020 with his fundraising effort to walk 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday.

Are you feeling inspired and looking for a great cause to get behind? We would be incredibly grateful if you can fundraise for us - your support will assist in the mental health recovery of our local communities, and we’d love to help you raise as much as possible – whatever you are up to!

Let's put the fun back in fundraising!

You could host an Alice in Wonderland tea party and invite your guests to wear funny hats or do a Zumba class in your pyjamas, there’s no limit to how creative you can get. There’s an event for everyone who wants to make life better for people with mental health problems.

With an overwhelming response from people wanting to sign up, this year’s Vitality 10,000 was our most sought-after Challenge for Charity event. On the big day, we had 15 amazing fundraisers who donned their bespoke charity branded Ronhill running tops to proudly support #TeamSWLSTG. Everyone enjoyed the fun, festival atmosphere and of course, the iconic scenic beauty of London’s most impressive landmarks.

Conquering the course throughout the city is an incredible achievement and these kind-hearted and generous fundraisers helped us raise a total of £8 188 and with donations still rolling in, every pound raised will enable our Charity to make a positive impact on our patients, their carers and families, as well as our amazing staff who look after them.

I’m thrilled to share that I successfully completed the 10k Vitality London Race in support of a mental health charity—and together, we raised over £1,000! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and encouraged me throughout this journey. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting mental health initiatives, and I’m incredibly proud to have been part of this cause. The support from the South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust Charity has been incredible, making me feel truly part of something special. It's an honour to contribute to raising awareness for mental health. This experience has reinforced the power of community and the importance of supporting mental health. If anyone is considering joining, I highly recommend it – it’s a rewarding experience, and the support you receive is amazing! Rachael Sachdev
