Better Connect

Better Connect SWLSTG is a an online platform for patients to access helpful information about their care at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust. It holds information about your mental health appointments, letters, medicines, and more, as well as providing useful advice and resources.

Through the online portal you will also be able to find information from other local NHS services, like your GP and local hospital. It will also link with Attend Anywhere, a platform which allows you to attend appointments online instead of in person.

Better Connect is part of a national programme across the NHS to give patients better access to digital information about their care and is based on feedback from patients and carers who said they wanted all their information in one easy-to-access place.

If you cannot, or do not wish to use Better Connect, you will continue to receive information in the usual ways, via letter, email, phone or text, depending on your preferences.

How to use Better Connect?

Better Connect is currently available for patients under the care of select teams in Kingston, while we roll-out the portal across our Trust.

This will help us understand and test how the portal works in practice, see how easy it is for you to use and identify any issues or areas for improvement. We will then use this feedback and learning to update the portal and supporting guidance, before making it available to all patients at our Trust.

If you are receiving care from any of the teams using the portal, you will receive a text message and email letting with more information. When you are due your next appointment you will also receive an invite to sign-up to the portal.

We will soon be expanding Better Connect to be available to some services in Richmond and Wandsworth. When this happens you will receive information about the portal if you are under their care.
