Good luck to our Brighton Marathon runners!

A man running across the Brighton Marathon finish line.

The Brighton Marathon attracts both elite athletes and charity runners from across the globe, so we are incredibly proud of our fundraisers who are running in the UK’s third largest marathon on Sunday, 6 April to raise funds for our Trust Charity.

Taking on the scenic route through Brighton’s lively streets and iconic landmarks before finishing by the beautiful seafront is an incredible feat of physical fitness and if you would like to meet our runners and discover how you can support them, simply click below.

Juliet Armstrong is Trust Non-Executive Director as well as Chair of the Charitable Funds Committee – so she had to run her first Marathon for our Charity! Juliet said: ‘I've run several half marathons in my time but never ever thought I could run double that...but I'm going to give it my very best to raise money for our wonderful charity. We are a growing and ambitious charity that wants to do even more! I would be so grateful if you would consider making a donation to help us do this.

Juliet is not the only runner with husband-and-wife duo Joe and Katrina Frost also taking on the challenge! Richmond SPA Team Leader said: ‘This is my third Marathon and Katrina’s first – thank you to everyone who can cheer us on to cross the finish line or make a donation. We look forward to enjoying some fish and chips on the beach afterwards!
The Charity provides essential items for patients and staff that go beyond NHS funding, including gifts, artwork, and Mental Health First Aid training for local communities.

Ian Garlington, Trust Better Communities Director said:

“I am in awe at the dedication required by our runners in training for this event. On behalf of the Charity we are so grateful that they are raising vital funds to help Make Life Better Together for our staff, patients and communities. And what a way to do it – completing an iconic marathon – what an achievement.”

We wish Juliet, Joe and Katrina the best of luck as they lace up their running shoes and join over 271 charities who have runners participating in this noble cause.
