Priority metrics
The Information is taken from our Quality and Performance Report focusing on those metrics that in April 2025 were agreed by the Executive Leadership Team as of priority and that would provide the Board and sub-committees with assurance, or otherwise that the Trust was providing effective and safe care.

Assurance Key:
- SPC (Statistical Process Control) is a method of using data and control charts to monitor and understand how we perform over time.
- Assurance given: Target is in zone C or beyond (3+ standard deviations) and below the mean; reversed for when target goal is low and target is above the mean.
- Questionable Assurance: Target is within zones A and B (1-2 standard deviations).
- Assurance not given: Target is in zone C or beyond (3+ standard deviations) and above the mean; reversed for when target goal is low and target is below the mean
NHS Oversight Framework Metrics 2025 — 2026
The Quarter 4 national segmentation has now been published. We have remained in Segment 2 (18th out of 61), with an improved average metric score of 2.12 (2.21 in Q3); the table below shows both our score and our relative position within each metric. Each metric is scored between 1 and 4, and a lower score indicates a better relative performance.
The Trust has improved in a number of metrics, particularly crisis response, length of stay and children accessing services. However, sickness absence has increased by 0.5% with Trust now ranked 10 out of 61.

Mental Health Benchmarking:
The most recent benchmarking for London Trusts. Source: NHS Digital and NHS England
We benchmark well for CAMHS ED non-urgent referrals seen within 4 weeks and on NHS staff survey question “recommend organisation as a place for work”. We also benchmark well forstaffturnover and sickness. There are some areas where further improvement is required. Crisis Referrals seen with 24 hours (although there has been positive improvement in year) and adult acute length of stay – where there has been a lot of focus in year, but our position has been affected by discharged patients with a long length of stay.
NHS Benchmarking Network
The NHS Benchmarking Network’s 2024 — 2025 Inpatient and Community Mental Health Benchmarking Report was issued in November 2025 and allows Trusts to benchmark their performance against other participating Trusts throughout England and within their local region. We are highlighted in red in the graphs below, London Trusts are highlighted green, and all other Trusts are highlighted blue.
