The NHS in London will launch a new 24/7 advice service for police officers to seek rapid support from mental health specialists when they attend incidents, as part of an ongoing partnership.

The multimillion-pound transformation of Springfield University Hospital in South West London concluded this month as the new Shaftesbury building opened to patients and service users.

We are carrying out a survey to find out about the experiences of people who use our community mental health services. Hosted annually by the Care Quality Commission, the NHS Community Mental Health Survey is carried out by all NHS mental health trusts across the country.

Almost 2,000 members of staff, patients, carers and members of the local community came together to celebrate at our Making Life Better Together Summer Street Parties in July. The Making Life Better Together Programme is a Trust initiative aiming to increase engagement with and improve the experience of mental health care for patients, staff and the community.

As the new Springfield Village continues to open up to the community, pedestrian access on the western side of the site will be changing from Wednesday 9 August. 

The Bishop of Kingston, Revd Canon Dr Martin Gainsborough visited Springfield Village on Tuesday 25 July to see our new facilities, meet with staff and visit the multi-faith room as part of a multi-faith ceremony.

Mira Lemke has been named as the next recipient of the Trust’s Exceptional People Award, having been selected as the June 2023 winner.
