Adult Community Services in Merton

Merton adult community services offer assessments and recovery-focused treatments for adults aged 18 and older with severe and long-term mental health conditions.

Where appropriate, we provide services and signposting for social and wellbeing support, including Peer Support, Employment Support, and Welfare Advice (e.g., finances, benefits, and housing). We also offer advice, support and signposting for carers of people with mental health difficulties.

For psychological and wellbeing support for common mental health problems (mild to moderate anxiety and depression), adults aged 18 and older can access Talking Therapies.

What you can expect

The borough’s Single Point of Access (SPA) team will receive your referral and if appropriate, contact you to assess your needs and goals.

After the assessment, you may be referred to the appropriate mental health service or be offered social and wellbeing support with one of our charity sector partners. If these services are not suitable, you or the referrer will be given advice on alternative support and services.
