Welcoming Dr Henrietta to Wandsworth Complex Needs Service

We are delighted to welcome Dr Henrietta Rees to the Wandsworth Complex Needs Service as a part-time consultant in Medical Psychotherapy.

The service supports adults with emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD), formerly BPD, offering therapies for those with complex emotional and relationship needs and helping people access the care and support they need in the community.

Her work will focus on improving access to talking therapies for underrepresented groups, including males and ethnically diverse communities, and integrating psychotherapeutic approaches into wider psychiatric care.

She will work closely with the team to provide MBT (Mentalization-Based Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), and other psychotherapies, supporting patients on the complex emotional needs pathway through assessments, therapy, and medication reviews.

Dr Henrietta will also supervise and mentor core and higher psychiatry trainees, helping them develop their psychotherapy skills and supporting them as they grow.

Bringing her own lived experience of mental health challenges, Dr Henrietta is passionate about patient-centred care and neurodiversity-informed practice.

She said: I’m really excited to be back at the trust, supporting people with complex emotional needs and helping them get the care and support they need. I’m also passionate about mentoring trainees and guiding them as they build their psychotherapy skills.”

We look forward to the positive impact of Dr Henrietta’s work across our trust and the difference she will make for patients and trainees alike.
