Richmond Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) have now moved into their new home at the Richmond Royal Wellbeing Centre. The centre opened and began seeing patients at the start of May 2026.
The new building gives children, young people and their families a modern space designed to support their care.
The centre is on the site of the former Richmond Royal Hospital, where the service was based before. It has been fully refurbished to create a bright, comfortable and welcoming environment.
Young people from Richmond CAMHS’ participation group helped shape parts of the space, including the decoration and colours for the therapy rooms.
Before the move, the service was based at Livingston House in Teddington, and previously at Barnes Hospital. The new centre is an important step in improving local facilities.
Staff worked closely with young people, families and carers to make sure the move went smoothly. All patients and families have been told about the change, and appointment letters clearly show the new location.
