Share your experience of Springfield Village through photography
Do you live or work near Springfield Village? You are invited to take part in an exciting research project exploring how the area is experienced by those who know it best.
We're working with City St George's, University of London and the Community Empowerment Network to understand what Springfield Village means to local people – from the places that feel welcoming and vibrant, to the aspects that could be improved. The project will use photography as a creative way for people to capture and share their experiences of the area.
Get involved
The research team is looking for adults aged 18 and over who live or work near Springfield Village and would like to share their views through a series of fun, interactive photography workshops. You will:
- Attend four weekly photography workshops
- Use cameras provided by the research team to capture images that represent your experiences of Springfield Village (no photography experience required)
- Keep the photographs you take
- Contribute to a local exhibition showcasing the project
- Help inform understanding of the community and local area
Alternatively, you can take part in a walking interview, allowing you to share your experiences in a different way.
About the workshops
The workshops will take place every Thursday in August (6, 13, 20 and 27 August), in the morning or afternoon (10am – 12pm or 1.30pm – 3.30pm). If you would like to take part, pick the time slot that works best for you and attend all four sessions.
To thank you for your time, a £25 voucher will be provided for each session attended.

The team is committed to making participation accessible. Support for access needs can be arranged, including interpreters where required. All participation is completely voluntary and confidential.
