Our Aspiring Clinical Psychologists (ACP) Access Scheme has supported 16 psychology graduates to take their first step towards a clinical career.

We are delighted to announce that Kingston Talking Therapies will be transferring to South West London and St George’s in April 2024. The service, which was previously delivered by Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, is based at Hollyfield House in Surbiton.

This month we were delighted to host almost 90 nurses from across the Cavendish Square Group (CSG) for a learning event and day of sharing best practice in patient safety at Springfield Hospital. The CSG is a collaboration of the ten NHS trusts that provide mental health services in London.

The Trust’s first community careers event took place in our Trinity building at Springfield Hospital on Friday 2 February. Attended by 130 people, the event was held for members of our local community to come and explore joining our brilliant teams as a healthcare assistant, recovery support worker, or administrator.

A trainee nursing associate, Elisha Parkinson, has been named as a finalist in the prestigious Student Nursing Times Awards! Elisha has been shortlisted for the Nursing Associate Learner of the Year Award in recognition of her outstanding achievements and unwavering commitment to nursing.

South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust have today announced the start of a major programme of regeneration at the Barnes Hospital site in South West London.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that junior doctors will strike from 7am on Saturday 24 February to midnight on Wednesday 28 February. Some of the junior doctors who work at our Trust will be taking part in the strike action.

Early works will soon begin as we prepare for the redevelopment of the Barnes Hospital site. As we begin this journey, we are inviting our community to join the development partners at a face-to-face engagement event at Mortlake Hall in Richmond on the evening of Monday 4 March.
