Nominate today – our People’s Choice Award

Our annual staff awards – known as the Quality Awards – offer an opportunity for colleagues to show appreciation for each other, and they also present our communities with a chance to celebrate a member of staff who has had a special impact.

The People's Choice Award recognises the exceptional contribution of a staff member at South West London and St George’s who puts patients and carers at the heart of everything they do. This should be someone who has clearly made a positive difference to patients, carers, and our Trust through their work and achievements.

At the 2025 awards, our People’s Choice Award went to Joddy Tate, Security Officer and Receptionist with the Trust. Joddy was put forward by a carer for his compassion, helpfulness, and respect for everyone.

They said: “As a carer I often make visits to the ward and one of the first faces you see when entering the building is Joddy. He always has the time to chat, and I have witnessed first-hand his complete willingness to help service users, members of the public and Trust staff.

“Joddy puts others before himself and shows his commitment to patient care every day. He is polite, respectful, willing to listen, compassionate in his dialogue and will help anyone who needs it. He is able to put me at ease with his friendly face. Joddy is exceptional and without him the place would not be the same!”

Do you have a ‘Joddy’ at the Trust?

If there is a member of staff who has made a difference in your life or in the life of someone you care about, please take a moment to nominate them for this award by filling out this form.

The nominations for this award will close on the 7th December.
