Recently, our CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team came together to take part in a 5km walk in recognition of Autism Awareness Month. As a service working closely with children, young people and families with neurodevelopmental needs, this was a meaningful opportunity to raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and support the work of the National Autistic Society.
The event brought colleagues together in a positive and supportive atmosphere, with a strong sense of shared purpose throughout the walk. It was a fantastic example of team spirit in action, highlighting our collective commitment to the communities we serve.
Diana Salgado, Lead Psychologist CAMHS Neuro Development, shares:
As a Neurodevelopmental Team, raising awareness of autism is at the heart of what we do every day. It was special to see the team come together for such an important cause, supporting the National Autistic Society while also strengthening our connections. Being part of this initiative made the day even more meaningful for all of us”.
“As a team, we’re proud to have raised £315 so far, with all funds going towards supporting the National Autistic Society and the vital work they do. Our fundraising page remains open, and we would be grateful for any further contributions to help us continue supporting this important cause.”
