Help shape Springfield Village: Two creative opportunities now live
Springfield Village is a new stigma-breaking community at the heart of Wandsworth with new mental health facilities, hundreds of new homes and a recently opened 32-acre park. Barratt London and AND London are now inviting artists, designers and creative practitioners to contribute to this neighbourhood through two major commissions. Find out how you can get involved.
Public Art Commission
Barratt London and AND London are seeking proposals for 3 – 6 permanent artworks that celebrate the voices and stories of Springfield Village, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, and the wider community. Your ideas should:
- Promote mental wellbeing and help reduce stigma around mental health
- Encourage community collaboration
- Create inclusive and welcoming public spaces
- Contribute to shaping a vibrant new part of London

Public Seating Commission
Barratt London and AND London are also commissioning permanent public seating for Springfield Village. They welcome designs that:
- Are accessible and inclusive
- Reflect themes of mental wellbeing
- Involve the community in meaningful ways
- Celebrate local heritage and reuse materials
- Make the space welcoming, connected and culturally rich
