Christopher Walsh wins February’s Exceptional People Award

Having worked at the Trust for 4 years, Chris has become a vital member of SWLStG’s employment team and is valued by colleagues and patients alike.

He was nominated for this award by a patient, who said: “Chris is great at making sure my voice is listened to and he’s never invalidated my feelings. He listens to all my queries and helps in any way he can, whilst always being kind and compassionate. Alongside this, he travels to easy locations for me to reach when I feel unable to travel.

“I honestly don't know if I would have been able to deal with my employment issues without him and I am truly grateful. I cannot thank him enough and I'm grateful to have had his support”.

Chris was pleasantly surprised to hear of his win, and spoke highly of his teammates, saying: “The best thing about working here at the Trust is getting to work with exceptional people every day, in my team, throughout the Trust, external organisations and in the community – colleagues and patients alike!”

Chris will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for his valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients. Nominations are welcome from all.
