Xinyu Yao has been named as the next recipient of the Trust’s Exceptional People Award, having been selected as the February 2025 winner.

Xinyu works in the Procurement Team as a Buyer and joined the Trust in April 2024 after previously working in the fashion industry.

Her colleague said: “Xinyu will always go the extra mile to find the answers to my questions and always comes back with a quick response. She has a great knowledge of the system and always helps me to get the job done.

“On top of this, she is ever so polite and friendly, and I believe that she is an asset to the Procurement Team as well as the Trust.”

Xinyu was pleasantly surprised when she found out that she had won the award. She said:

“It has been an immense pleasure to work with, and become, an essential member of the wonderful Procurement Team. Starting my working day with a smile and positive expectations for what lies ahead makes me know that I am in the right place. I am so proud of how we make a genuine difference to our patients and organisation.

“I would like to express gratitude to my manager and colleagues for their support and commitment to my development and accomplishment.”

Xinyu will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for her valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients. Nominations are welcome from all teams.
