Kwame Adjepong has been named as our first Exceptional People Award winner for 2026!

Kwame, who works as the Ward Manager on Hume Ward, has been at the Trust for over 10 years. He was nominated by a colleague who said: “Kwame consistently puts people at the centre of everything he does, taking time to listen, supporting others, and ensuring the highest standards of care and professionalism.

“He leads by example, remains calm under pressure, and consistently looks for ways to improve outcomes. His dedication, positivity, and commitment truly embody what it means to be exceptional within our Trust.”

Kwame was delighted to hear that he had won the award and spoke about the highlights of working at the Trust, saying: “My favourite aspect of working at the Trust is the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that positively impacts patients and the community. I also value the supportive and collaborative environment among colleagues, which makes it a great place to grow and deliver the best possible care.

“This award means a lot to me because it reflects the teamwork and support of the people I work with every day. It motivates me even more to continue giving my best, supporting my colleagues, and contributing positively to the Trust and the people we serve.”

Kwame will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for his valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients.  Nominations are welcome from all.
