Celebrating our latest Exceptional People Award winner: Tony Garcia
Tony Garcia has been named as the March 2025 winner of the Trust’s Exceptional People Award.
Tony , Store Keeper in the Portering Team at Springfield, has been at the Trust for over 30 years, and is well known for always going the extra mile to help teams with last minute deliveries and various tasks.
His nominator said: “Tony is one of the most helpful people that I have encountered at the Trust. As Store Keeper, his days are always busy and I know he receives many requests from teams across the Trust to locate missing items, ensure packages are delivered on time, and help with the various other tasks that our amazing porters carry out.
“His work is largely 'behind the scenes' and may not be visible to the average staff member, however he truly goes the extra mile every day and really deserves to be recognised.”
Tony was delighted to hear that he had been selected as the winner of the March Exceptional People Award and spoke about what he enjoys most about working at SWLStG:
“My favourite thing about my role here at the Trust is working with my colleagues to help make a difference to patients and service users. It really feels great to be recognised for all the hard work we do here in the portering department, so thank you.”
Tony will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for his valued service to the Trust and patients.
