We’re delighted to share that two of our colleagues and teams have been shortlisted for this year’s Capital CSW Awards, taking place on Tuesday 18 November. The Capital CSW Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of Clinical Support Workers across London, recognising individuals and teams who make a difference in care, leadership, and workforce development across a range of clinical areas and sectors.
Blessing Ayilaran, from Hume Ward, has been shortlisted for Healthcare Assistant (HCA) of the Year, and Bluebell Ward has been shortlisted for Team of the Year. These shortlists recognise the compassion, professionalism and dedication shown by our staff every day across our services.
Blessing has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to patient care and the support she provides to her colleagues.
Reflecting on her experience, she said: “Working on Hume Ward has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s a supportive environment where I’ve built strong relationships with patients and colleagues and learned so much about person-centred care. Being shortlisted for Healthcare Support Worker of the Year is an incredible honour. It means a great deal to me and reflects the amazing support and teamwork that surround me every day.”
Her manager, Kwame Adjepong, added:
“Blessing’s dedication, compassion and professionalism shine through in everything she does. Her positivity and commitment make a real difference to our patients and the whole team. We’re so proud to see her recognised in this way.”
We’re equally proud of Bluebell Ward, our specialist deaf inpatient ward, which has been shortlisted for Healthcare Support Worker Team of the Year. This nomination recognises the team’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care and the positive difference they make for patients across our Trust.
Elisabetta Mazza and Denton Choutan will attend the ceremony to represent the ward. We wish both Blessing and the Bluebell team the very best of luck at the awards!
