It can be said that working in the NHS takes a special kind of person and at ourTrust,we’re fortunate to have so many dedicated and committed colleagues.
To honour staff who have reached 25 years of service, we recently held a special awards ceremony celebrating their achievements and dedication.
Over 20 members of staff received trophies and were personally thanked by our Chief Executive, Vanessa Ford, and our Chair, Ann Beasley. Together, our longest-serving colleagues have contributed more than 1,400 years of service to our Trust.
Vanessa Ford said:
"It is truly the marker of a special person to dedicate such a significant amount of time to helping others and still feel joy from the difference they make. I am so proud to be part of such a caring and committed organisation and am grateful for all we have achieved during this time for our patients, carers, and the communities we serve."
At the events, staff also shared reflections on their careers. One colleague said:
"Over the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of working as a mental health nurse, a role that has shaped not only my career but also my understanding of humanity, resilience, and compassion… Mental health nursing is not just a job, it’s a vocation, and I’m proud to have walked this path for a quarter of a century."
A heartfelt thank you to all our incredible colleagues for their dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our Trust and the communities we serve.
