Anna Baines wins September’s Exceptional People Award

Anna Baines, Art Therapist of Wandsworth Arts Psychotherapies Service, has been selected as the Exceptional People Award winner for September 2024.

Anna has been working at SWLStG for an amazing 21 years and has been described as someone who has worked tirelessly to provide a consistent service to patients.

Her colleagues said: “Anna would never praise herself for her contribution to the Trust and underplays the value she brings to people’s lives.

“She has carried the service when colleagues have been ill, imparted her wisdom and passion for improving access to arts therapies, and she feels genuine love for her practice and respect for the people she treats.”

Speaking about her time at the Trust, Anna said:

“My favourite thing about my role as Art Therapist is working closely with people from such a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. I have learnt so much about humanity.

"It is a lovely surprise to have been chosen as an Exceptional People Award winner and it gives me a great boost as I work towards my retirement next summer. A big thank you to whoever nominated me!”

Anna will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for her valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients. Nominations are welcome from all teams.
