About our care
Hume ward is a 16-bed low secure forensic unit providing care and treatment for men who have both mental health issues and involvement with the criminal justice system.
The ward is designed to provide a secure and therapeutic environment for assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, with a focus on helping individuals reintegrate into the community when appropriate.
Who is this service for?
This service is for men aged 18-65 who require a short to medium term admission.
Referrals and access
Referrals are managed by the Trust's bed management panel for forensic services.
Referrals are received from the criminal justice system e.g. prisons and courts, or from other services within the Trust.
