We are delighted to announce that Kingston Talking Therapies will be transferring to South West London and St George’s in April 2024. The service, which was previously delivered by Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, is based at Hollyfield House in Surbiton. The team provides free, confidential help for people who are struggling with things like feelings of depression, excessive worry, social anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The transfer follows the move of Richmond Wellbeing Service, including Richmond Talking Therapies, to our Trust in 2023 and means we now operate and deliver all five Talking Therapies services for the South West London boroughs we serve – Merton, Wandsworth, Kingston, Richmond and Sutton.

We are currently working with the Kingston Talking Therapies team and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust to ensure a safe, smooth and positive transfer of the service for staff, patients and professionals.

The Trust’s Clinical Lead for Talking Therapies and Primary Care, Yvonne Hemmings, said: “Kingston Talking Therapies is well established with strong links into the local community and an excellent track record of positive outcomes for patients.

“Both our trusts are determined to protect this positioning in the community with minimum possible disruption to patients and staff during this transition, whilst building on of the success of the service through the opportunities presented by integration and community transformation. We are confident that by bringing our teams together, we can further enhance mental health and wellbeing services for the communities of Kingston.

“Kingston will be joining South West London and St George's Therapies community of services, allowing all five boroughs to now work together to design and implement service improvements that continue to drive up the quality of care offered to residents of South West London through our Talking Therapies services.”
