Join us at the 2024 Summer Street Party

It is that time of the year – the South West London and St George’s Summer Street Party is back. This year the party will celebrate 30 years of the Trust, as well as the amazing work of our staff and communities through the year. The parties also provide the opportunity to bring together our patients, their carers, and our local communities.

This year's event will be held on Wednesday 10 July 2024 from 1-3pm in the new Chapel Square outside Springfield University Hospital. Please note that some part of the road will be closed.

This year to help ensure our patients on our wards have better access to the festivities, we’ll be operating the party with a staggered timeline, with the event open to our communities from 1pm onwards.

The event will feature food from around the world, information stalls from different services at the Trust and community organisations, live music, and free activities, so make sure you stop by.

There are a lot of activites planned for the event:

  • Face painting
  • Activities and games
  • Live music
  • Information marketplace
  • Musical playlist curated by our patients

Access to the street party - please don't drive

To facilitate this event, a stretch of Springfield Drive will be closed from 11am-4pm on the day. This includes some of our disabled parking bays. Please see the map below:

The road along Lapidge Drive will still be operational throughout. However, parking at the street party will be limited – spaces will be prioritised for staff working on the day and patients and carers getting to their appointments. Please arrange alternative, greener transport to join us at our celebration.

Donate to the South West London Mental Health charity

We hope that you are able to join us in enjoying the event. If you do, please consider donating whatever you feel comfortable giving by making a donation to our Trust Charity. The charity uses donations to directly improve the lives of people with mental illness in South West London – above and beyond what our NHS services provide. In fact, our Charity has places at the coveted London to Brighton bike ride and Vitality 10k run – please do consider signing up to support us!

We are lookig forward to seeing you there.
