Community Mental Health Survey. How was your care?

2024 Community Mental Health Survey

The NHS Community Mental Health Survey collects the views of thousands of people using community mental health services across the country. By completing the survey, you’re helping us understand what we’re doing well, and where we need to improve.

If you used our community services in April or May 2024, you could be invited to take part. The survey starts on Monday 19 August and will run until Friday 29 November. You will be sent the survey in the post, and you may receive a reminder by text message. You can complete the survey either as a paper questionnaire or online using the provided login details or QR code.

If you receive the survey, please consider completing it. It doesn’t matter whether your contact with our services was regular or minimal, every voice is valued.

The survey is confidential, carried out by the Care Quality Commission and a dedicated Survey Coordination Centre at Picker, on behalf of NHS England. Your individual responses are not shared with our staff, so participation will not affect your care or treatment. This survey has also received approval from the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.

The results will be published in the spring of 2025 and will be used to assess Community Mental Health Trusts in England.

If you receive the survey and need help completing it, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) by calling 0203 513 6150 (Monday - Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm) or emailing pals@swlstg.nhs.uk.

For more information about the survey, please visit http://www.cqc.org.uk/cmhsurvey.
