Staff Nurse Harriet Rice has been named our first Exceptional People Award winner in 2025!

Harriet joined the Trust in January 2023 and worked on both Bluebell Ward and Corner House before joining the Deaf CAMHS London Community Team.

She was nominated for this award by her colleagues, who said: “In every way, Harriet embodies our values, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere that uplifts both the people they work with and those they serve. Her commitment to our mission and values makes them truly deserving of this recognition.

“She is a bright young professional with a brilliant future ahead of her and we are lucky to have her at the Trust.”

Harriet was delighted to hear that she had won the award and spoke about the highlights of working at the Trust, saying:

“I love working with deaf young people and have learnt so much from my colleagues in deaf services. The role itself is particularly rewarding, and I thoroughly enjoy working with our young people who have complex communication needs.

“I really appreciate being nominated for this award and am grateful to have had so many great supervisors and colleagues who not only teach and support my development, but make the team a lovely place to be.”

Harriet will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for her valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients.  Nominations are welcome from all.
