Diana Mukonoweshuro has been named as the next recipient of the Trust’s Exceptional People Award, having been selected as the June 2024 winner.

Diana, the Community Physical Health Lead and Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for Adult Physical Health & Older People, has been working at the Trust for nearly three years and has been described as someone who makes the physical health of her patients an absolute priority.

The Physical Health Team were full of praise for Diana, saying: “How Diana does all the work she does across the 5 boroughs is beyond belief. She is truly an exceptional ACP who advocates and supports physical health in the community.

“Her work covering the junior doctor strike has highlighted her skills to senior staff and she always ensures her practice is safe and acts with compassion when faced with extreme pressure.”

Diana was delighted to hear that she had been selected as the winner of the June Exceptional People Award and spoke about her role. She said:

“I have the privilege of working in both inpatient and community sites, and have seen how staff work tirelessly and collaboratively to improve patient outcomes. I feel blessed to be a part of SWLStG’s community.

“Winning this award feels so special and propels me to stick to the Trust values. I am very grateful for the recognition and to the staff who have taken their time to nominate me.”

Diana will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for her valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member who has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients. Nominations are welcome from all teams.
