December 2023 Exceptional People Award goes to Rebecca Long

Rebecca Long has been named as the final recipient of the Trust’s Exceptional People Award for 2023, having been selected as the December winner.

Rebecca, who is a Behavioural Specialist in the CAMHS Learning and Development team, joined the Trust in July 2022 after moving to England from Canada.

The CAMHS Learning Disabilities team were full of praise for Rebecca, saying: “ Rebecca is very professional and compassionate in the work she does. She has had a very challenging caseload of complex children and has really made a positive change in their lives.

“Her contribution to both the team and the Trust has been invaluable and her achievements over the last year are admirable.”

Rebecca was delighted to hear that she had been selected as the winner of the December Exceptional People Award, saying:

I feel thankful that I’m making a difference and that my hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. I’m making a conscious effort to learn and grow as a leader and it’s reassuring to know my efforts are having an impact.  My favourite thing about working at the Trust is being a part of a specialised multidisciplinary team who are committed, passionate, and go above and beyond to improve the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and associated mental health challenges. I have so much respect and admiration for my colleagues.

Rebecca will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for her valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients.
