Changes to the London Borough of Merton Council and Southwest London and St. George’s Mental Health NHS Trust Adults and Older Peoples integrated Health and Social Care teams
From Tuesday 1st October 2024, the current Section 75 agreement between the London Borough of Merton Council and the South West London and St Georges Mental Health Trust for the Mental Health Integrated Service ended.
This has resulted in the adult social care staff returning to the adult social care directorate and the council assuming direct control and accountability for its Mental Health Social Work service. The London Borough of Merton Council Adult Social Care Team will maintain their current co-location with health colleagues at the Wilson Hospital and Springfield Hospital, with a new London Borough of Merton Management arrangement.
