Angelica Johnson, who works as a Community Psychiatric Nurse, has been named as the March 2026 Exceptional People Award winner.

Angelica joined the Trust in September 2023 and is described as someone who consistently demonstrates the values that define truly compassionate and effective nursing.

Her colleagues said: “One of Angelica’s greatest strengths is her ability to build strong, trusting rapport with clients. She communicates with warmth, clarity, and genuine empathy, creating an environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and safe.

“She a role model in every sense — professional, compassionate, and deeply committed to the people she cares for. I feel incredibly fortunate to have learned from her.”

Angelica was delighted to hear that she had won the award and spoke about her highlights of working at the Trust, saying:

“My favourite thing about my role as a Community Nurse is getting to know my patients over the years, building close, trusting relationships, and ultimately seeing them recover.

“This award came as a complete surprise, and it was so wonderful. I’ve been going through a tough time recently, so this has really made my week and I feel so grateful!”.

Angelica will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for her valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients. Nominations are welcome from all.
