About our care
Ruby ward is medium secure forensic unit for women who have both mental health issues and involvement with the criminal justice system.
The ward is designed to provide a secure and therapeutic environment for the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals with mental health concerns who may be deemed a risk to themselves or others.
The aim is to support rehabilitation and recovery, with a focus on helping individuals reintegrate into the community when appropriate.

Referrals and access
Referrals are managed by the Trust's bed management panel for forensic services.
Referrals are received from the criminal justice system e.g. prisons and courts, or from other services within the Trust.
