This week (27 April – 1 May) we’re celebrating Patient Experience Week – a chance to recognise how important it is to listen to the voices of people who use our services, their families and carers. At our Trust, patient experience is at the heart of everything we do. We believe the best mental health care is shaped by the people who use it, and by listening, learning and improving together.

New Richmond Royal Wellbeing Centre opens to Richmond CAMHS patients from Friday 1 May

New outpatient facilities are on the way in Richmond! This spring Richmond Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) will move from their temporary base at Livingston House in Teddington into a new facility called the Richmond Royal Wellbeing Centre.

Based at the site of the former Richmond Royal Hospital, where Richmond CAMHS were previously based, services will return to what is now the Wellbeing Centre this May.

Celebrating our latest Exceptional People Award winner: Solomon Gyasi

Solomon Gyasi has been named as the next recipient of the Trust’s Exceptional People Award. Solomon works as the Deputy Ward Manager on Ward 2 and joined the Trust in 2020 as a Bank Healthcare Assistant, before progressing to a Registered Mental Health Nurse role and finally into the position he finds himself today.

We have worked closely with people with lived experience of mental illness, as well as carers, our own staff, and our partners in health, care and community organisations including the emergency services.
