NHS 10 Year Plan: Have your say
The Government are asking for your help to give your views on the strengths and weaknesses of the NHS to help inform their new 10-year Health Plan, which they aim to publish in Spring 2025.
A joint Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England team (NHSE) has been established to deliver the plan, which aims to set out how they will deliver an NHS fit for the future by creating a truly modern health service designed to meet the needs of our changing population.
Whether you have a little to say or a lot, your views, experiences and ideas will shape immediate steps and long-term changes: a new 10-Year Health Plan for the NHS. Please go to the dedicated website which will collect your views and go towards shaping the plan.
As one of the key NHS partners within South West London, we have not shied away from this challenge. We want to deliver the best possible clinical services, that help people with mental health conditions live well and stay well in the community. When people do need to come into hospital, we are transforming our environments to create modern healthcare facilities that will serve residents across Wandsworth, Richmond, Kingston, Sutton and Merton for generations to come.
This includes investing over £280m to transform our estate through our Better Environments programme and improving mental healthcare through our Better Care programme to empower more people to access the right care, at the right time, in the right place and ensure no-one stays in hospital longer than they need to.
Across these innovations we are working to reduce the stigma around mental ill health to create inclusive services that aim to be actively anti-racist. We are determined to address entrenched health inequalities and ensure service users experience fairness and equality of access in treatment and outcomes.
That’s why we are playing our part in the launch of the consultation for the 10-Year Health Plan alongside the government, and we want to hear from you - patients, their families and the wider public - about your NHS story.
