We are delighted to welcome Dr Shafaq Javaid to our Trust as she takes on the role of Consultant Psychiatrist at the South West Merton Integrated Recovery Hub.
The Hub provides specialist mental health support for adults living in the community. In her role, Dr Javaid will lead assessments, working closely with the team to deliver personalised care, and contribute to improving services that promote recovery and wellbeing.
When asked about what attracted her to this role, she said: "There are many elements that interest me about this position. One of the main reasons it appealed to me is that I feel I would be a great fit within the Trust’s culture. From everything I’ve learned about the organisation, there is a strong emphasis on respect, compassion and working together, values that are very important to me."
Reflecting on how this role will help her develop, she shared: "I believe this role will give me the opportunity to progress in my career while continuing to develop my skills and expertise. I’m looking forward to learning from my colleagues, sharing my own experience, and taking on new challenges that help me grow professionally. I am also committed to maintaining work-life balance as I’m a mum to a gorgeous one-year-old daughter."
We are thrilled to have Dr Javaid as part of our team and look forward to the positive impact she will bring to our community!
