Resident doctor strike - patient information

The text reads 'You will be contacted if your appointment needs to be changed, please continue to come forward for the care you need'.

Resident doctors are taking strike action between 7am on Monday 15 June and 7am on Friday 19 June 2026. We are working together to make sure that our essential services will be covered through this period of industrial action.

Some of the resident doctors who work at our Trust will be taking part in the strike. While we expect that most of our services will continue throughout the strikes, some clinics may be rescheduled.

Everyone who has an appointment should attend unless we have contacted you to reschedule. If we have not contacted you, please attend your appointment as planned.

The arrangements we have put in place to cover staff taking part in the industrial action may mean that your care is provided by someone different to who you would usually see.

Regardless of any strike action taking place, it is really important that you continue to come forward for care and support in the same way as usual.

If you need urgent mental health support:

  • Call NHS 111 and press 2 for the mental health option
  • Or call South West London and St George's Mental Health Crisis Line on 0800 028 8000 — open 24/7

More information on accessing mental health support is available on our urgent help page.

More information on the strikes is available from the NHS website.
